On August 15th, the first ever Portland Shoebox Derby will be taking place and will be virtually viewable. Normally the Portland Soapbox Derby happens this time of year on Mt Tabor but due to COVID they had to cancel. They came up with this instead. A 130’ curvy racetrack built for handmade, all original cars. This is my entry: Reflectious: The future is here and it’s shiny as hell. With the 2 lb body crafted out of a single piece of aluminum, Reflectious features futuristic, sphere-shaped wheels for minimal friction. To be honest, I have no idea how well this thing is going to do. I haven’t tested it out so your guess is as good as mine! Regardless, it will be fun to watch.
