Had a neighbor with a lavender farm who wanted me to create a sculpture based off of a drawing her kid did a while back. This was a fun project that ended up having its challenges (welding cast iron is tricky.) I think I nailed the likeness though. Going to donate this old wrench to a cool project by #barbiethewelder and #rockthetrades. If it works out, this old wrench that I pulled out of a big ‘ol scrap metal pile, then removed the thick rust with electrolysis, and then wire brushed will be part of a cool sculpture. #tylerfuquacreations
I love making my own sketchbooks. This tends to give me a much deeper connection to them. I tend to use found materials. Kite string. Wrapping paper. Backs of folders or notepads. It all comes together to have a second existence. To be filled with new ideas that can grow beyond its pages. Here is to a new book, and to all those fresh ideas that are to fill its pages.
