President Biden paid a rare visit to Mar\u00edn Elementary School in North Philadelphia, a program that received funding from the American Rescue Plan. ArtistYear teaching artist fellow Coco Allred<\/a> reflected on her experience of having the American leader come to the classroom.<\/p>\n

Biden asked Maria, a second-grade student at Luis Mu\u00f1oz Mar\u00edn Elementary School in North Philadelphia,\u201d writes Coco Allred for Americans for the Arts. \u201c\u2018What kind of art do you like?\u2019 Maria said, \u2018Painting.\u2019 President Biden replied, \u2018Do you think you\u2019ll be a painter when you grow up?\u2019 Maria said with confidence, \u2018I already am one.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n
